Memory Verse Review

Psalm 150:3-4 Praise Him with the sound of the trumpet; Praise Him with the lute and harp. Praise Him with the timbrel and dance; Praise Him with stringed instruments and flutes!. Psalm 150:3-4

Question: Say, "Has anyone ever praised you for something that they thought you had done when you did not do it? They gave you credit for doing something that you did not do. Would someone like to share about this? Ask, “How did that make you feel?” Jesus deserves all our praise. He died for our sins that we may be forgiven and go to meet Him in heaven some day.

(Show a Bible). Say, “Would anyone like to read our verse for the class today from God’s Word, the Bible? (Give to someone who you know can read well). Show them the verse written on the dry erase board in large font. Turn it around so that they cannot see it in advance before you show it.

Say, “Remember our special words? The word sound.” can be an echo, a noise, a loud thud, humming and talking when we need to listen. The word lute” is an instrument that resembles a guitar. The word dance” is to hop, skip, tap your feet, or waltz. The word stringed is a thin cord made of metal that is used for violins and bass guitars form the string family.

REVIEW GAME

Draw a large stop sign. Red=stop; green = go. And yellow = wait. Point to these as they say the verse. If you point to "stop" they stop, if you point to "go" they continue saying the verse, if you point to "yellow" they wait until you tell them what to do next. On “wait” give instructions like stand up, sit down, hold up your left hand, or hold up your right hand and say the verse. Whenever you point to stop, they “stop” immediately at any time. Do this game several times so the verse is repeated 6 times total.

Sing the “Doxology” one time. Praise God from whom all blessings flow, Praise Him all creatures here below, Praise Him above ye heavenly host,

Praise Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. Amen!
