Meet Mr and Mrs Staff
TALKING MUSIC NOTATIONS
Children’s Message
Meet Mr. & Mrs. Staff

Props: Staff with treble and bass clef, writing paper, pencil.
Bible Verse: So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God. I Cor. 10:31
Have you ever seen something that looks like this? This is called a music staff. It has four spaces and five lines. The purpose of the staff is so that music notes can neatly be written on the lines or spaces. If the lines and space were not there, we would not be able to read the music.
“Whether therefore you eat, or drink, or whatever you do, do all things to the glory of God”. (I Corinthians 10:31). How many of you take time to write neatly and do your best when you write at school? A letter to a friend? A note to your teacher? A note to you mom? Is your handwriting easy or difficult to read?
God gave us fine motor skills that we can develop if we choose to. God gave us two hands to use for Him. We can bake cookies, write letters neatly, play an instrument, wave to someone and smile, help with the dishes at home, or take out the trash. If we use our hand as they were created for, we will be able to learn other things that will help us to get a job. It might be as a computer programmer, a factory worker, cutting meat in a deli, playing an instrument, teaching a Sunday school class, nursing a sick patient, and many other jobs.
Remember to do your very best in whatever you do. Write and color neatly on all your papers. Be proud of what you do so you will not be ashamed. God calls us to glorify Him in all that we do all the time.
Questions for Discussion:
1. What are some ways that we can do chores for the glory of God?
2. What are some ways that we can do our school work for the glory of God?
3. Why is it important to do our best in what we do?
4. What does God think about how we should do everything?
