This song goes with the skit of “Alice Adventure in Wonderland” that you will find under the “skits” tab.
It is really cute to have the kids sing each verse assigned in small groups.
You may want to place a strong singer per group for volume.

1.Alice, oh Alice sitting under a tree,

What a clear blue day in the sky,

Looking at her sister’s book – no pictures to be seen,

Says this is a boring book no wonder why.

2. She props herself up against a big tall tree,

Then closes her eyes for a rest,

What on earth, I do declare….now what does she see?

But a rabbit standing at his best.

Or you’ll be in Wonderland.

3. Dear me, dear me says the rabbit on his way,

Looking at the time on his wrist watch,

I mustn’t be late, on this blue and dreary day,

I shall stop and do, one summersault.

4. Where oh where is that rabbit going now,

 I must find him, but I don’t know how

I’ll chase him and see… just where he goes,

She cries as she stumbles down a hole.

5. Finding another way she came upon a door,

Found a note attached to a cute box,

Said the note EAT ME so I’ll eat a little more,

I just hope I don’t see any fox.

6. Ha! Ha! Ha! Said Merle the mouse,

Then Dudo the bird gave a chirp,

Lory the parrot said come into my house,

As Dooby the dog gave a burp.

7. We are in for some trouble said the rabbit to the group,

King William must be stopped from being crowned,

I don’t like this one bit we must form a mighty troop,

Not so fast, said the Red Queen with a frown,

Are you dreaming with book in your hand?

Or you’ll be in Wonderland.

8. Somethings gonna happen soon and it won’t be long,

Red Queen laughs as she grabs Alice’s sleeve,

In great fear, Alice knew something was so very wrong,

Alice then decides it time to take her leave.
