God is Our Protection

Psalm 3 Responsive

 

 

Leader: God, I have so many enemies all around me. They rise up against me causing increasing trouble in my life. Many of them are saying that You will not protect me. There is no help from anyone, and I lift my voice to You.

 

Congregation: God will protect me from all those who seek to harm us. Our trust is in Him.

 

Leader: Oh, God, I cry out my voice for it is in You alone that I will be lifted up as you respond to me from your Holy hills. You are my shield all around me, and I will hold my head high.

 

Congregation: We shout to the Lord, “Blessings come from Him where we will find ALL our help.”

 

Leader: My God! Please help me to stand strong and steady – fearless among my enemies. As I stretch out on my bed in the evening, and close my eyes, I will awaken refreshed because of your protection.

 

Congregation: We will not be afraid of ten thousands of people, because the Lord is our protection!

 

Leader: Salvation belongs to the Lord! Honor me with your shield and protection. Help me win this battle.


Congregation: We have God’s blessings – think of that!

 

Leader: Avenge me for those who seek to harm me. You alone are the One who saves. Bless me, Oh my God, as you stand in my behalf against my enemies who seek me harm.

 

Congregation: God will protect us; we need not be afraid what man will do to us.

 

All: May your protection and blessings be given to all your people!
