ENSEMBLE All Speak In Unison:
(Piano begins softly playing Am I A Soldier of The Cross)
We as citizens of God's army, embrace the American values of believing in One God, the family, life, and our country. Most importantly, we have been called by God, to not only spread the gospel of Christ, but to follow Him as a soldier of the cross.
Sing: Am I A Soldier of The Cross
Verse 1
Am I a soldier of the cross
A follower of the Lamb
And shall I fear to own His cause
Or blush to speak His name
Verse 2
Must I be carried to the skies
On flow'ry beds of ease
While others fought to win the prize
And sailed thro' bloody seas
Verse 3
Are there no foes for me to face
Must, I not stem the flood
Is this vile world, a friend to grace
To help me on to God
Verse 4
Sure I must fight if I would reign
Increase my courage Lord
I'll bear the toil endure the pain
Supported by Thy word

MALE READER (hold up an electric lit candle)
May God bless our church and county as we turn to seek him and endeavor to reach a world in our small part of the United States of America. May we strive to be a soldier of the cross as we carry our cross daily, and show the world that we are Christian's by our love.
FEMALE READER (hold up an electric lit candle) May each one of us be a church family united in allowing our candle to burn bright to the hearts of people who are hopeless, confused, and without God. Let us fight the fight of faith as we rely on God to give us courage to work for Him until he returns.
ALL May we pledge to honor our God by going out to light our world as a true soldier in God's army.
(Piano plays Am I A Soldier of The Cross 1x as members exit)
