A letter has been provided for you to send home to parents as it is good they can see what is happening in Sunday school and review at home if possible. It is wise to arrive early to set things up, relax a moment in prayer and be there when parents arrive with their children.
Materials needed:Silk flowers (assortment), card-stock, markers, a few real flower petals, vase, corsage, wedding pictures or album, green leaves (cutout)

I brought with me some beautiful flowers like some that God made. Let's look at the different colors. (Take out flowers to show the kids). Let's name the colors of these flowers. (Allow the kids to name the colors). God is so good and he made the flowers.
We use flower for many things. We put them in a vase. (Allow the kids to each place a flower in the vase. Aren't the flowers pretty in the vase? We use flowers to make a corsage. Show a corsage that you are wearing. Parents wear corsages for special occasions like weddings and Mother's day.
Have you ever been to a wedding? There a lots of pretty flowers at a wedding. (Show an album of wedding pictures). Here are some pictures of flowers in this wedding. Aren't the flowers pretty? God made the pretty flowers.
We can use a flower to color. Take this flower (Give each child a real flower) and rub it on the paper here. It will add some color to the paper. Try it! Isn't that cool? God made the pretty flowers, and we can use them for so many reasons.
We plant flowers in the spring and summer and some flowers will bloom all summer long. Some flowers give off a wonderful fragrance. They smell so good! I love flowers; do you? I am so glad God gave us flowers. They help make our world beautiful! Let's sing our flower song again. This time as we sing it let's hold our flower real high in the sky. Ok? (Give each child a flower to hold high in the sky as they sing.
God Made Flowers

God made flowers,
I'm so glad God made the flowers.
Directions for choreography: Cup palms facing together and bend fingers to make the flower petals. Clap three times with each word of "I'm so glad". Cup palms once again on the word flowers at the end of the song.
Review: I am so glad God made our eyes (point to each part as you say it), our ears, our hands, our feet, our nose, our eyes, our fingers, and our feet. He did a BIG job when he made all that. We serve a great, big God. He is SO good and lives in heaven. God loves us so much and placed some more things in the sky that he made. Can you think of anything in the sky that God made and gave to us? (Mr. Moon and Mrs. Sun, and Stars).
I am so glad God made us. I am so glad God made the sun, moon, and stars. I am glad God made the flowers. Today, we are going to make a special flower card for our moms and dads.
Craft (10 minutes)
Provide each child a card-stock. Allow each child to select a flower that they want for their card. Fold the card-stock in half and staple the flower to the front of the card. Have the kids draw a picture of a flower inside and stick some flower stickers provided inside to decorate. Give them some cut leaves for the flowers to paste inside the card. Write their name on the cover. Include the words to the song they learned today on the inside of the card. This can be computer generated and printed out. Preschool letter craft: "F" for flowers color, or allow kids to cover the letter with fruit loop cereal. Allow to dry. Staple or glue to a paperplate. Make a hole punch in one end and tie a peice of yarn to hang over kid's head to take home. Say, letter "F" stands for "flower" Letter "F" says f-f-f as in "flower or fruit loops".
