THE TOY STORE
This is a script for younger children who find it difficult to memorize many lines during the Christmas season. They have one line to say which simplifies lots of memorization work. The children can dress as their favorite toy or movie character.
TEACHER: It was the night before Christmas And all through the toy store Parents were shopping And buying presents for their own kids. The toys thought they should:
CHILDREN SAY IN UNISON: SHARE WITH OTHERS
TEACHER: The parents were so busy With long Christmas list Of every thing you could imagine, To buy for all their kids. However, the toys thought they should:

TEACHER: No one said "Away in a manger, No crib for a bed." Instead, they talked of Santa And how excited the kids would be. The toys thought they should:

TEACHER: Mom picked up a lovely doll Dad admired a new toy he’d like to try, The hours passed quickly As more and more purchases were made. However, the toys thought they should:

TEACHER: When the store hours were gone And it was time to close The toys gave each other a little secret smile When they suddenly heard the store manager lock the door for the day. The toys decided it was time to:

TEACHER: So away from the shelves they jumped They all got busy in a flash Wrapping presents and adding ribbons To give to boys and girls far and near The toys were excited for they were going to:

TEACHER: They made their way out the back door To a place not far from the toy store Their trip was long and tiresome for them But they were so filled with the excitement of giving. The toys had decided it was time to:

TEACHER: Up on the big church steps they climbed And up to the door they stiffly walked There appeared to be a light through the stained window As they raise their hand to knock on the door, An elderly lady answered the door with a smile on her face And the toys decided this was the pastor and wanted to tell her their desire to:

TEACHER: She reached out her arms as if to know And in a flash the presents were in her arms, She hung to them tightly and did a twirl that made their heads spin, Thank you, Jesus she said for answering our prayers For allowing these toys to share with the world The true meaning of Christmas So the toys wiped their tearless eyes as they said, “We just wanted to…

The lives of the many shoppers were so busy With their long Christmas lists They seemed to have no time to remember The true reason for the season. So the toys had decided it was time that they:

TEACHER: So instead of long Christmas list and spending so much money Let’s think of the true meaning of Christmas In giving to others as God did so long ago for us, When he sent His Son, Jesus as a tiny baby in order to:
