Puppet 1: What kind of hamburger do you like?
Puppet 2: Swooshingly!
Puppet 1: I said…..what kind of hamburger do you like?
Puppet 2: Swooshingly! With some gamoriousless spread on both buns.
Puppet 1: Oh brother! Where do you buy such a hamburger?
Puppet 2: MacMuffinswuz!
Puppet 1: Where is that located?
Puppet 2: Jerksfingum!
Puppet 1: What shopping mall is it near?
Puppet 1: Mallsshakeller!
Puppet 1: Jumping catfish! I have never heard of such strange words before. Did you make them up? I can’t understand you when I do not know what you are saying.
Puppet 2: Did you ever hear the story of Ruth?
Puppet 1: Now that I do understand. She was the women who lost her husband and two sons. They got sick.
Puppet 2: That’s right! They got sick or something and passed away.
Puppet 1: That is sad news! I imagine it made Ruth sad!
Puppet 2: Well, she decided to go and live in the land of her mother-in-law – where she came from.
Puppet 1: That was a long ways away wasn’t it?
Puppet 2: Right! Can you imagine going to a place that you never had been before and making all new friends? That would be strange!
Puppet 1: That would be strange and difficult! I could not even understand those big words you were saying so I imagine it would be difficult for Ruth in a sense of meeting new people and starting all over again.
Puppet 2: Wow! She was brave and had courage to do that! I would hate to move away from my friends at school. We have been together since Toddler school.
Puppet 1: I did not go to Toddler school. I went to Kindergarten than to nursery school. Wait….I got that backwards.
Puppet 2: Well whatever! Ruth moved away to the new land with her mother-in-law and worked in the grain fields for a man named BO ZO!
Puppet 1: BOAZ! He wasn’t a clown.
Puppet 2: Well it is confusing… some of those names in the Old Testament. I do not know what all they mean, and I cannot even say most of them either. What do you think about that!
Puppet 1: Well, I can’t say them either! I l like the one that is something like Abe.. raw.. ham.
Puppet 2: You mean Abraham? He was a good guy. So the story goes that Ruth married this man named Boaz and they lived happy ever after. Well that is the way most story books end.
Puppet 1: Didn’t Jesus come from those relatives?
Puppet 2: Yeah! I have heard that! Well I’m just glad that we don’t have such long names today. I'd hate writing it 50 times in school every day.
Puppet 1: I agree! I would get a headache trying to sound them all out. I’m just glad that Ruth was brave and courageous. And we can be too with God’s help. We can do anything with His help!
