Bible Memory Verse
In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. John 14:2 (KJV)
Bible Memory Verse Activity
Copy and paste the verse on your computer. Make the letters large as you can to fit onto one sheet of paper. Print out on heavier paper if possible. Next, cut the paper like puzzle pieces. Put into envelopes. Make two complete copies or one copy for every child. You can cut out more than one verse at time if you triple the paper before you cut it. Allow the kids time to work the puzzle. Say the verse together several times.
Skit
Callie: Ooooooooooh! Goldie is not moving!
Sam: What do you mean, not moving?
Callie: She was moving yesterday, wagging her tail, and now she is just lying there….not moving at all. Oooooooooooooooh!
Sam: Hey, she’ll be ok. She just an old cat. You can get another one.
Callie: I don’t want another one, I want Goldie.
Sam: Goldie has lived for ten years now. Cats only have nice lives.
Callie: That’s not so! I’ll ask mom.
Sam: She won’t’ tell you because you get all upset.
Callie: What are we going to do with her? She needs to see the vet.
Sam: You know mom said we were short of money this month, with Christmas and all.
Callie: Well, we can’t let her die.
Sam: Here, let me take a look and see if she is breathing.
Callie: Is she? Is she breathing?
Sam: Yes, she is. I think she’s got the flu though.
Callie: Cats don’t get the flu, do they?
Sam: I think this cat did. Maybe, mom will take her down to the vet, and we can get an estimate in what she will cost. How about that?
Callie: Ok. I just don’t want her to go to heaven just yet. She is my best friend. I love Callie.
Sam: I’m sure she’ll be ok. Let’s go tell mom.
Callie: Ok, thanks, Sam, for begin a good big brother to me. I love, you too.
Message
Heaven is a wonderful place somewhere high in the sky, and farther than anyone can go to visit someone. It is a place that God is preparing for all those who trust Him as their Savior. There will be many wonderful things in heaven.
Heaven will have streets of gold to walk on. We will be known as we are, yet have a perfect body. There will be many rooms or houses in heaven, and all the animals will be tame. There will be all good people there who love God, who have asked him into their heart.
Heaven will not have any mean animals in it that bite you. It will not have any sin, and wicked people there who will harm you. Heaven will not have any tears so you will never be sad again. It will not have any language barrier – that means we will understand people who talk Spanish or Chinese. There will not be any sickness in heaven. No one will have to wear glasses or hearing aids. There will be no evil of any kind in heaven. You will not have to lock your doors, or worry about getting the flu or a cold.
God will be in heaven, and we will worship Him. He will provide us all we could ever image to eat and drink. We will have the best fruit and vegetable that you have ever seen even in your grandfather’s garden or at Kroger’s. Heaven is a wonderful place filled with the glory of God. God is preparing it for YOU!
